Who is it for?
For anyone considering starting their own business, or existing businesses and in need of support and assistance to improve or grow.
Who provides this service?
Much of the business support is delivered by a spectrum of support organisations; ranging from national partners such as
Department for International Trade and Innovate UK to local support providers, universities and local authorities.
Why have Growth Hubs been created?
Growth Hubs are Government initiatives which were set up by Local Enterprise Partnerships as a means of offering local business support. There are 38 Growth hubs run by each LEP in the UK. The Leicester and Leicestershire Growth Hub was launched in 2014.
The key objective is to raise awareness and simplify access to the different forms of business support that are available in Leicestershire. The partnership overseeing the development of the LLEP Business Gateway consists of representatives from both public and private sectors, as well as our local universities.
A structured promotional programme aims to see the LLEP Business Gateway become an established and regular feature amongst the Leicester and Leicestershire business community.

Become a partner of the Business Gateway
To become a delivery partner of the Business Gateway you will need to be a business support provider; an organisation that offers advice, expertise, coaching or mentoring to help a business start, improve or achieve growth. You must be offering this service via a publicly funded contract so that your support is free or subsidised for clients. Please complete an Information Sharing Agreement and return the form to us by post.
We will be launching our Business Support Directory very soon. If you provide the above services but not through a publicly funded contract then please ensure that you Subscribe for Updates. As soon as the directory goes live we will make an announcement so you can apply to be listed.
