NEW Leicester and Leicestershire Business Survey available now!

A booklet which sums ups the annual LLEP Business Survey is available to download here: LLEP BUSINESS SURVEY RESULTS 2015

The objective of the Business Survey is to deliver information from the local business community that provides a snap shot of business conditions, how the local economy is performing and also help inform local planning and decision making.

In the new LLEP Business Survey booklet, some of these key findings are:

  • The Leicester and Leicestershire economy is moving in the right direction.
  • More than half of the businesses that took part reported increased sales turnover and profits.
  • Optimism has had a positive knock on effect, with a third of businesses increasing their staff headcount.
  • Manufacturing businesses are particularly strong in this respect. Over 50% of manufacturing businesses will increase their staff headcount over the next 12 months.
  • Nearly 40% of companies have started offering new products and services.
