Engineering and Advanced Manufacturing

If you are a small to medium sized engineering or advanced manufacturing business looking at growth, new supply chains and attracting the right clients you can access up to twelve hours of fully funded support through the Collaborate project. This support is delivered by Collaborate partner, East Midlands Chamber (Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire) and will be specific to your business needs. Complete an enquiry form here and get started.

Chamber business advisers will also provide details about the Collaborate business growth grant if you are looking to expand and grow:

– Capital grants of between £5,000 to £25,000 are available for Leicester or Leicestershire SMEs that trade business-to-business.
– The grant will be made up of 33% of the project cost
– Businesses must be trading business to business for 12 months or more and must create at least one full time job for every £10,000 of grant funding awarded.

“Without the Collaborate grant we probably wouldn’t have been able to make this investment for another year or two, making us dependent on EU suppliers, less price-competitive and more exposed to fluctuations in the exchange rate.

“Last year the business grew by 37% so we’re very grateful for the support at this critical time in our growth.”

Sandra Wiggins, DPI (UK) Ltd. Read the full story here

The Collaborate business grant has enabled us to speed up the process of replacing the old equipment and serve more customers. Having access to the grant is going to make a real difference to the delivery of our current service.”

David Cram, Finance Director, Welham Motor Company. Read the full story here.

The Chamber regularly organise events which provide an opportunity for you to learn, stay informed and connect with other businesses. This includes sector forums, workshops and seminars and topics include Six Sigma, Kaizen, understanding your supply chain and Industry 4.0. Visit the events section for details.
