Collaborate for growth ethical compliance workshop

What does Heathrow Airport look for when picking a supplier? Find out at this one-day event including what it takes to be a ‘responsible supplier’ by the Carbon Trust, the importance of circular supply chain and the Green Business Fund.

Heathrow airport spends up to £1.5bn annually with more than 1,400 suppliers from around the UK and there will be more work on the horizon with the expansion. Construction of the runway will be the UK’s largest privately-funded infrastructure project and small and medium-sized businesses will be critical to delivering the £14bn investment.

Heathrow is committed to using its position as a national asset for the particular benefit of SMEs around the country – as committed to in Heathrow 2.0, Heathrow’s plan for Sustainable Growth. Their goal is to enable more and more UK SMEs to connect to new opportunities for growth locally, nationally and internationally.

As with most large infrastructure projects, such HS2 plus other public sector procurement, we are seeing an increased requirement to prove that you are a sustainable, responsible, low carbon business – those not addressing this requirement within their business are now at risk of being left behind.

This event, held in partnership with Heathrow Airport, The Carbon Trust and Loughborough University will provide your businesses with some important insights and knowledge to help your businesses grow, develop and to find out what it takes to become a responsible supplier. This will also be an ideal opportunity for you to network and engage with many businesses and organisations.
