Time: 9:30 am - 12:30 pm

Develop your social media skills at this workshop for those in the creative industries. The session will be very interactive with delegates learning about idea and content generation, social media management and engagement.

This highly interactive and innovative workshop will be run with the majority of the work being done by attendees in small mini groups each of which will tackle a specific activity designed by workshop leader, Karen Cureton of Cureton Consulting.

The workshop aims to develop attendees’ skills whilst also answering their specific needs.  Karen will also use live examples throughout the workshop so that attendees can actually see the process happening: from idea to content generation, to social media management, to engagement.

Throughout the workshop, Karen will also liberally sprinkle top tips and hints, time-saving ideas and links to free resources so that each attendee leaves with an arsenal of additional information ready to use.  Karen will also invite attendees to share their experiences and top tips with the room – after all everyone, there will have some knowledge and it’s good to share!

Karen is absolutely committed to ensuring that each attendee leaves this workshop knowing how to create great content and, indeed, will have started that process during this workshop. Why so committed to great content?  Because in all Karen’s years of experience the biggest barrier to social media success is a lack of quality content.  So attendees will work with Karen to construct a social media calendar which will be used on a monthly basis and which will help them organise their thoughts and plan ahead whilst giving them the flexibility required to continue their creativity and maximise on opportunities as they appear during the month.

Post the workshop Karen will provide a 1-2-1 session via Skype as a follow-on to answer any additional questions, check in on the attendee’s success post the workshop, and encourage them to continue developing and sharing great content!
