Making Tax Digital (MTD) comes into force in April next year and is a movement by the UK government to introduce a modern streamlined tax system, that makes it easier for businesses and individuals to keep their tax records up to date and transfer information to HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC).

The option to ‘do nothing’ may result in some hefty fines so is clearly inadvisable.

But what does all this mean?  How does it apply to your business?  Do you need help with navigating the digital accounting journey?

We will be sharing the latest updates on MTD direct from HMRC regarding its push to using digital software to help you understand what is happening, when, and how it will affect you and your business.

What is covered?

•What is MTD
•Why has HMRC bought this in?
•How does it work?
•How can you make sure you are compliant?
•Compliant software options
•Bridging software – what is it and do I need it?
•Exemptions from MTD
•Next steps to take and general advice
