If you are a fashion or textile manufacturer struggling with ethical compliance or client audits this free workshop could be what you need.
This event is delivered as part of the Collaborate Growing Business Together project and is specifically aimed at businesses based in Leicester and Leicestershire, with fewer than 250 employees (all other bookings will be respectfully declined).*
This workshop aims to prepare fashion and textile manufacturers to meet their clients’ audit requirements such as Fast Forward, Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit (SMETA), and/or other retailers’ ethical compliance audits. The workshop will provide opportunities for businesses to understand the ethical trading principles and the effective measures that they are required to put in place, based on good practice guidelines.
Attendees will learn:
– Importance of ethical and social compliance and imperatives to improve
– UK Employment and Health and Safety law
– A management systems approach to ethical and social compliance
Places are free for Leicester/Leicestershire- based fashion and textile businesses.
The workshop will be delivered by Fast Forward – the next generation labour standards improvement programme driving a step-change in ethical and social compliance in supply chain.
Time: 10.00am to 1.00pm (refreshments from 9.30am).
